In mid-2008, Microsoft began transitioning from generic MCP/MCSA/MCSE certifications to MCTS (Technology Specialist) and MCITP (IT Professional, role specific) certifications and exams.
Windows 2003 certs don't expire, are still highly valued and can be used as credit to upgrade to Server 2008 MCITP / MCTS. MCTS expire once the technology platform stops being supported. MCITP certs don't expire but have continuing requirements to stay current. More »
