Microsoft Announces Windows 7 MCITP Cert for Help Desk Techs
Microsoft introduced a new Professional-level certification for Windows 7 for Help Desk Support Techs, "Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7", or MCITP: EDST7.
This new certification resembles its MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator counterpart, and is covered in our 6-day Windows 7 Boot Camp.
Candidates are tested on their ability to implement Windows 7 and deliver those skills in a customer service environment (problem resolution, business process skills, help desk support fundamentals).
Certification requires candidates to pass two Microsoft Exams:
Upgrading from Vista or XP
You can upgrade to MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 from the following credentials:
- MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician (Windows Vista)
- MCDST (Windows XP)
